What is PictureBookTree?

PictureBookTree is a site, where you can register for only one dollar and get to read, download and print all the picturebooks on the site. The site is designed by parents for parents and children all over using picturebooks as a tool to teach their kids life skills, good values and nurture creativity and learning.

Who made PictureBookTree?

Who can use PictureBookTree?

PictureBookTree is a site designed by and for parents to give them an access to unique picturebooks which impart learning while fostering creativity and teaching good values at a very nominal price. We encourage parents to use the site with their kids to spend quality time with them. We carefully monitor all content on the site. However, we strongly recommend parents and guardians to go through the content themselves and only share the content which they think is suitable and appropriate for their children/wards. We do not accept registrations from children and only parents can register on to the site using their PayPal accounts.

What age groups are the books meant for?

Most of the books are meant for kids 4 years and above. In the future, we will also have picture books meant for younger kids.

What all can you do on the site?

You can read the books online in a unique flipbook format. You can download the books as a PDF file, to read later on your computer, tablet or smart phone. You can also print the books and personalize them to make personal copies of the books. We are also developing games, puzzles and other fun learning games for the site to give you hours of fun with your children.

What OS and browser is the site compatible with?

The site is compatible with Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 and Mac OSX. The site is compatible with all modern browsers- Firefox, Chrome, Opera, IE7, IE8.

How do I read the free book?

Please click on “
Read Free Book” link on the homepage.

I can only see the book details, I can’t read the books?

If you are not registered with us, please register using the “Join” link to have access to the books. If you are you are already registered with us, please check to see if you are Signed in.

How do I pay for registration?

All payments are made through PayPal. Please pay using your PayPal account. If you don’t have an account please register on the PayPal page.

Why does it say Progresar on the PayPal payment details?

Progresar is the marketing and technology partner of PictureBookTree and all the payments are routed through Progresar.

How do I begin using my account?

After you complete the registration process, you will be taken to your homepage. You can begin by looking at our “Special Mention” list, which is a list of all the books we recommend. You can also browse through “All Books” to see all the books on the site. You can also search for books using the search function. Click on any book you feel like reading to get to the book detail page and start reading.

How do I change my password?

Just go to “My Account” from your homepage and change password by provide your old password and the new password you want to change to.

How do I search for books?

You can search for books by browsing through “All Books” or typing a topic on the search bar on the top right side of the site. You can also click on the tags on the book details page.

How do I add books to my reading list?

On any book list or search page or on your homepage, there is a “add to my reading list” link below the book icon. Click on it to add to your reading list. This list is shown on your homepage. You can add as many books as you want on to your reading list and read them at leisure.

How do I remove books from my reading list?

Just click on remove from reading list below the book icon.

How do I know which books I have read?

After reading a book, mark it as read from the book detail page. You can see all the books you have read on your homepage.

I can’t find a book I read in my list?

If you unmark a book as read, then it is removed from your list. Please search for it and add it to your list again.

The book is not opening?

Make sure you are signed in. Images may take some time to load depending on your internet speed. Please be patient and wait for the book to load.

I can’t see the navigation buttons on the book?

The books are best read in a screen resolution of 1024x768 and higher. Please adjust your screen resolution.

I just commented on a book, I can’t see my comment?

All comments are moderated to ensure that there is no racist or abusive content on the site. Comments may take up to one day to appear on the site.

I want to share my story?

Please use the ‘Share a Story’ link to share your story with us. Please read Terms of Use and Privacy Policy to see how your content may be used by PictureBookTree.

What will I get if my story is made into a picturebook?

All selected users will be mailed a free personalized copy of their picturebook. If your story is selected, you be informed about the selection via email. We will also intimate you about the shipping time required for us to ship the book to you.

How do I tell my friends and family about the site or about a particular book?

You can tell your friends and family about the site by using the “Spread the Word” page. You can share details about a book by using the share interface below the book icon in the book details page to post it on your social networking site or send a link via email.

How can I get involved with the site?

There are many ways for you to get involved. You can tell your friends about the site, you can share your stories with other users and you can also send us posts for our blog on topics you want to share with other parents and children on the site.
